  5. Day 1: Bar Harbor to Yarmouth The Tarwheels Crew: Carol, Debbie, Libby, Lynn, Paul, Sarah, Steve, and Tom

  6. Day 1: Bar Harbor to Yarmouth Yarmouth Architecture • Stained glass • Widow’s walks • Turrets • Airlocks

  7. Day 1: Bar Harbor to Yarmouth Sarah, Tom, and Carol investigate the Yarmouth lighthouse (and scenic surroundings)

  8. Day 1: Bar Harbor to Yarmouth Paul and Lynn and more water

  9. Day 1: Bar Harbor to Yarmouth Our Campsite Patio

  10. Day 2: Yarmouth to Digby (68.5 miles) The first day of real riding

  11. Day 2: Yarmouth to Digby Feed us and we’ll bike anywhere. After Breakfast in Yarmouth

  12. Day 2: Yarmouth to Digby Debbie, Libby, and Sarah practicing their temperance (Memorial Temperance Hall of the Total Abstinence Society :-))

  13. Day 2: Yarmouth to Digby The Tarwheel turtles (Libby, Sarah, Debbie) head for the ocean (no flashlight required) Mavillete Beach Provincial Park

  14. Day 2: Yarmouth to Digby You’re not in the South anymore! (Or, This darned water’s cold!)

  15. Day 2: Yarmouth to Digby Diet Coke should pay me millions!

  16. Day 2: Yarmouth to Digby Having a great time; Wish you were here!

  17. Day 3: Digby to Annapolis Royal Optional Route along the Bay of Fundy 27 or 65 miles

  18. Outside of Bear River…Up a long, steep hill… yak! Uh… yuck! Stupid punsters, always huffing by.

  19. Day 3: Digby to Annapolis Royal Carol (and Sarah) wait patiently for Libby for lunch

  20. I dunno, but I wish he’d throw ‘em back!!! Day 3: Digby to Annapolis Royal Where does he get these customers??? Kent (of Kent’s Family Restaurant) shows us what lunch could look like!

  21. Day 3: Digby to Annapolis Royal No, it wasn’t a mountain biking trip! (Carol and Sarah take a side trip to the Bay of Fundy.)

  23. Day 4: Annapolis Royal to Liverpool (72 miles)

  24. Day 4: Annapolis Royal to Liverpool Starting across the province (After some major hills)

  25. Day 4: Annapolis Royal to Liverpool It’s a small, small world. Meet Ken Hilton from Lexington, NC and a new Tarwheels member! (A nice swimming stop!)

  26. Day 4: Annapolis Royal to Liverpool Outside the Barrington textile museum

  27. Day 4: Annapolis Royal to Liverpool Liverpool’s age is reflected in its cemeteries dating from the 1700s.

  28. Day 5: Liverpool to Shelbourne (Optional route past Sandy Point Lighthouse) 58 or 74 miles

  29. Day 5: Liverpool to Shelbourne A few hills, and then another beach!

  30. Day 5: Liverpool to Shelbourne The mileage wasn’t enough. Libby and Carol went looking for Tudor Tile. It was closed, but the garden was pretty.

  31. Day 5: Liverpool to Shelbourne The Titanic A lighthouse The Lockport Flotilla

  32. Day 5: Liverpool to Shelbourne Tiles (by Tudor Tile) at the Lockport Beach Center

  33. The Sandy Point Lighthouse

  34. Day 6: Shelburne to Shag Harbor 56 miles

  35. Libby loves her new bike. . . And doesn’t it look pretty??? (Breakfast in Shelburne)

  36. Now this is a “flower bed!” (Outside of Shelburne)

  37. The Seal Island light--The (now automated) lighthouse is still operational off the coast.

  38. Give me a Diet Coke and occasional meal at McDonald’s, and I’m a happy biker! McLobster in Barrington Passage

  39. It felt just like home!

  40. OK! Huddle! (Brrrrrr….)

  41. Win a chocolate bar! Whose feet are these warm socks encasing?

  42. Paul makes use of the sinks attached to the shower truck.
