  6. 2010 Our 9th Outstanding YearFrom the President’s Desk 2010 was indeed an outstanding year for GKAS here in St. Louis. With nearly 1100 children seen we were able to provide some $790,000 worth of comprehensive dental care, all within a gentle, caring, and fun environment. Of course none of this would be possible without the generous contributions of over 850 onsite volunteers and our incredibly generous corporate sponsors. Besides receiving treatment at our Bi-annual clinics held at St. Louis University’s Center for Advanced Dental education, many of the children received follow up care at local dental offices that have graciously agreed to treat them through our “Smile Factory” program. One of our most exciting programs “Tiny Smiles” which coincides with our clinics has continued to grow. The “Tiny Smiles” program gives us the chance to educate caregivers of young children ages 0-3 years; highlighting our philosophy of prevention. During the summer we were kept busy with several health fairs and fundraisers. There was never a dull moment! Nine years of service to the most wonderful children of St. Louis is complete. We look forward to our tenth year! Thomas C Flavin, DDS                                                                                 President, GKAS
