  2. Patrick Burns Judge is a responsible, intelligent, and compassionate individual with a successful track record of work in the legal system. He received his bachelors degree in History from the University of Washington. From there, he went to attend Law School at the University of Puget and graduated in 1978. He opened up his own practice that very same year in Auburn, and specialized in family law, criminal defense, and civil litigation. He ran his own practice for about 20 years, and gained rich firsthand experience in the field that prepared him for his future undertakings.

  3. In 1998, Patrick Burns Judge was selected to be a full time presiding judge at the Auburn Municipal Court. His industrious work ethic, reliability, and dedication to work were greatly appreciated because this was an elected position. He rendered his fair and impartial judgments while working this job until 2012. Consecutively, he obtained the position of a faculty member at Judicial College in 1999, and served there till 2006. As a teacher, he was always eager to impart his knowledge and wisdom to his students to help them in the learning process. He was well liked amongst the students for his aptitude to provide clear and easy to understand explanations using current examples.

  4. Since 1997, Judge Patrick Burns Auburn, has been a member of the DMCJA (District Municipal Courts and Judges Association) Legislative Committee. This is a professional organization that works to increase court management proficiency and improve court services. It encourages the exchange of practical information and knowledge regarding court related procedures and judicial administration. He has even served as a member of DMCJA Court Rules Committee in the 2001-02 and 2005-06.

  5. His commitment to excellence in his work has served him well, and currently, Patrick Buns is working as the Pro Tem Judicial Officer in Kent and Kirkland Municipal Courts.
