  2. Pitch • To make a short film • Duration five to ten minutes • Using four locations • Documentary / drama style • Appealing to an worldwide audience • Showing awareness of an over looked issue • It will be an strong , emotional story

Rational My shot film covers these issues / subjects Awareness Blindness Eye tests Hope /faith Powerless Abandonment it will be filmed and edited as a fictional drama shot in a documentary format / style There will be facts and information in the film with quotes and researched information from professional such as doctors etc

Context • Out of the light in to the dark is a short film based on a young rebellious writer who is going blind because of a eye disease • It fits in to the current media as an awareness film it’s the type of film which can be linked to cinema/motion pictures and also informational for the public to not over look eye tests

Sample of script • Opening scene Fade in ……….. location park it’s a warm afternoon in early march camera pans down from the sky with a voice over jade speaks in a composed voice well sitting on a bench in the park writing down • ’People say that when you die there's a flash back of all the things you have done in your life, you are meant to see your family and friends then you take your last breath and go in peace to a better place,……………. where there's no pain and you see all your love ones waiting for you…….. a big bright light which is meant to make everything feel safe and happy is going to wash all over you and give you the feeling of being free……….. this process in life is your final chapter its meant to make you ready to cross over ……. • Well I say that a pile of bull shit all these stories are told to little children by there loving parents…….. Who are trying to explain why people have shitty things happen to them ………. Well how about they make up a story that tells you what happens if you cant see …. What if there is no flash because all you see is darkness everyday …. What if that sweet passing over story is only for the people who have use of all there sense’ • camera pans to jades pen and paper showing her writing • (jade) voice over in a hard and misty toned voice • ‘See I wasn’t always so dark there was a time when I was happy just me and my cat and my sexy ass fuck buddy Kate but now more than looking forward to my fun life I have to say good bye to it all ……………… good bye to the colours of the sky , on a hot summers day , good bye to everything because the only colour I am going to know now is black no shades not even a little hint of grey in sight just the deep dark void of blackness that I have been trying for the past 13 years to run away from ………………………….. • End of opening scene

Conclusion • In my final project I will be Connecting • Power • Spectacle • Memory The more I research and put together my script I get more ideas and I get more excited because I it makes me push my self as an artist/film maker to new levels 361MC well help me focus my ideas and will also help the progression of my short film
