  1. 2-2 Operations Report of LEOP S. Burgaud / CNES

  2. Ground Segment Status • Orbitography Operational Centre : • involved for first orbit computation, until GPS switch ON • support for station acquisition manoeuvres, in case of problem  very good support supplied • IT Network : • no major anomaly • ISDNline activated once because of nominal link maintenance activities • Ground stations : • Good behaviour of the ground stations network • No issues on TTCET ground stations • Several minor anomalies with Homere stations : • TM file retrieval, RF link • no impact on SMOS operation planning • due to the fact SMOS is the first PROTEUS mission using these stations

  3. Ground Segment status • SOCC : • Very satisfying behaviour of all the components • No major anomalies • Main Change Requests implemented : • TC_Auto facilities : to allow automatic TC_Group upload during the night with Homère stations • E_HKTM files delivery : on ESA request, these files are now sent after each pass (instead of every 6 hours) • New Satellite data base : v 4.0 • Modification of ground monitoring relative to PLM temperatures • TC reject file correction,  To be set up by the end of the week • Conclusion : CNES GS implied in SMOS LEOP worked like a charm, with very few harmless anomalies

  4. Operational documentationfor routine activities • Smos In-Orbit Mission Management Plan: • Version 1.0 issued and signed by CNES and ESA • Operation Interfaces Agreement between SOCC and PLPC • Issue 2.0 applicable + “E_HKTM delivery” Change Request • Weekly routine timeline is applicable from now, as defined • Collision avoidance process is activated • RF interferences with Jason 1 satellite are weekly computed, and avoided without impact on PLM planning • PLPC-SOGS ICD : • Issue 1.9 applicable + “E_HKTM delivery” Change Request
