  2. What we do? • We are not a regulatory agency. • We offer Technical and Financial Assistance for the • implementation of Conservation • We have 8 offices in the Caribbean Area (PR and • USVI) • We work with private landowners and farmers. • We manage Farm Bill Programs.

What we do? • Work on Special Projects • Guanica Bay Initiative – We collaborate with Local, State and Federal Agencies. • Goal is to protect Coral Reefs • Reduce sedimentation from sun grown coffee • Santa Isabel Acquifer – Working with Local Governments we have implemented conservation practices to help the acquifer in the area.

  4. What we do? Cont… • Bosque Maricao Corridor – Using WHIP, and collaborating with federal partners we are helping connect natural areas using a Lanscape Approach. • Energy Audits – Partnering with PR Dept of Ag we are helping dairy farmers to obtain Energy Audits on their opertations.

  8. ¿Qué hacemos? • Somos una agencia no reguladora. • Ofrecemos Asistencia Técnica y Financiera. • Contamos con 8 oficinas en el área del Caribe (PR y • USVI) • Trabajamos con agricultores y dueños de tierras privadas. • Manejamos programas bajo la Ley Agrícola.

  9. ¿Qué hacemos? • Trabajamos en Proyectos Especiales • Iniciativa de la Bahía de Guánica – Colaboramos con agencias locales, estatales y federales para: • Proteger los Arrecifes de Corales • Reducir la sedimentación de café bajo sol • Acuífero de Santa Isabel – Trabajamos con gobiernos locales implementando prácticas de conservación para ayudar a mejorar la calidad del acuífero de Santa Isabel.

Cont… • Corredor del Bosque Maricao – Utilizamos fondos bajo, y colaboramos con agencias federales conectando áreas naturales utilizando un “Landscape Approach”. • Auditorias Energéticas – En conjunto con el Departamento de Agricultura de PR, estamos ayudando a los ganaderos a obtener auditorias energéticas en sus operaciones.
