  2. Supervision • 1997 National Action Plan Electronic Highway (NAP) • formulation requirements for TTP services • safeguarding by a a voluntary accrediatation and certification scheme (TTP.NL scheme) • Benefits: • “guaranteed” confidence, transparency

  3. Supervision • E-sig directive (art. 3.1 - 3.3) • implementation Telecommunications Act • art. 3.2 : designate TTP.NL • art. 3.3 : supervision on all CSPs that issue QCs (the ones accredited and not)

  4. Supervision • Registration of all CSP’s that issue qualified certificates • Public register gives transparency by providing information about voluntary accreditation / selfdeclaration • Body ? • Assessment fullfilling requirements: importance harmonised standards
