  2. Cell Theory • All living things are made of cells. • All cells come from preexisting cells. • The cell is the basic unit of organization in living things.

  4. Prokaryote • Cells that lack internal structures surrounded by membranes. • Cells with no defined nucleus. The DNA is a circular strand.

  5. Eukaryote • Cells with organelles surrounded by membranes.

  29. Lysosome • Vacuole that contains digestive enzymes.

  30. Golgi Apparatus • Membrane sacks that store newly produced proteins.
