  3. GRADUATION CEREMONY PARTICIPATION REQUIREMENTS • Graduation Policy: • Senior Status Letter • 22 credits • Mandatory Class Requirements • State testing • High School & Beyond Plan • CP Sign & return to the Counseling Center ASAP.

Four Year Colleges & Universities • Common Four Year College Requirements* • * Some college requirements may vary. • 4 years of English • Minimum of Algebra 2, including a Senior year math course. • 2 years of science to include a lab science (Chemistry may be a requirement) • 2 years of a world language • 3 years of social studies • 1 year of fine arts. • Helpful documents are available on the CHS website & the Counseling Office.

  6. ACT and SAT Tests Required by 4 year colleges. Check online for dates and registration. ACT Website: www.actstudent.org SAT Website: www.collegeboard.com Check with individual colleges to see which test they prefer!!

  9. Military Information • Notify your student’s counselor if a decision is made to join the military. If students are under 18 years of age, parents must provide written consent in order to provide recruiters with school information. ROTC ASVAB

  10. NCAA • If students wish to participate in NCAA Division I or II Athletics, they need to be certified by the NCAA. Registration starts in the Sophomore year. If students have not registered, they need to do so immediately at www.eligibilitycenter.org. • Follow all NCAA directions and rules! • Take classes that are NCAA approved • Maintain a full schedule • Meet test score/GPA requirements

  13. We want all Seniors at Graduation! • Helpful Hints For CHS Seniors: • 1. Make sure youare passing all of your classes and that youhave met state testing requirements. • 2 . Go to Advisory each time and make sure youcomplete your HSBP and CP. • 3. Check the CHS Website on a regular basis for announcements and directions. Attend all Senior Meetings. • 4. Please ask for help or clarifications!
