  1. Montgomery County Ethics Commission Outside Employment Online System (OEOS) For Supervisors and Department/Agency Heads

  2. For Supervisors and Department/Agency Heads • Supervisors: After a supervised employee submits an Outside Employment Request you will be notified via email • Department/Agency Heads (or Designee): Once the Supervisor has reviewed the request you will then be notified via email

  3. How to Get there • Click on the hyperlink from the e-mail notification or • Go to www.montgomerycountymd.gov/ethics • Click Outside Employment at the top and select OEOS at the drop down menu • Sign in using your county log on ID and password

  4. To Review Requests • Click on the “Review Requests” box to see any new requests or previously reviewed requests

  5. To Review Requests • The list that first appears are those awaiting review • Click View on the right to look at the request form

  6. Review section • Select Recommended or Not Recommended • Comments or conditions may be left (any conditions may be incorporated into conditions on the OE approval imposed by the Ethics Commission) • If an approval period of less than 3 years is desired, put in an expiration date (otherwise the default expiration date will be 3 years) • Click Submit for the request to go to the next level of review (usually the Department/Agency Head or designee)

  7. Managing OE Requests • To view previously reviewed requests or those expiring, choose the option from the drop down menu • Click View to see that request
