  4. Background Public Hearing for an Ordinance extending the temporary reduction of the Law Enforcement, Fire Rescue Services, Roads, and Parks and Recreation Impact Fees

  5. Background (cont’d) On May 10, 2011, the Board of County Commissioners (BCC) approved: • 25% Reduction in Impact Fees • Effective for 18 months or until Fee is updated • Reduction expires November 13, 2012

  6. Background (cont’d) • Schedule for BCC Public Hearings Parks October 30, 2012 Law December 18, 2012 Fire October 30, 2012 Roads November 13, 2012 • Any increased Fee requires 90 day notice before the effective date (Section 163.31801 F.S.)

  8. Purpose Extend the 25% reduction until the effective date of the ordinances (Interim period between November 13, 2012 and 90 days or effective date) and If the hearings on one or more of the fees is continued, the 25% reduction will still be in effect.

  10. Requested Action Make a Finding of Consistency with the Comprehensive Plan and approve the Ordinance as amended by deleting Line 399 (page 12), through Line 530 (page 15) • LPA made finding of consistency on October 18, 2012 • Effective Date is November 5, 2012
