What HEF Likes to Fund • (#1 PRIORITY) - Large number of students impacted • Partnering • Combine your grant with others to impact more students • Beyond district funding • Will not fund items the school should provide • Innovative • Grant amounts • Break down into multiple grants or years- If full funding is not available, partial funding is an option.

  7. Grant Writing Tips • Area of Impact- Give the Pass Skills targeted • Skip the educational jargon • Be sure the grade level and educational area the project will reach is well defined • Proof read • Grammar • Understanding/clarity

  8. When Is It Due? • Postmarked by March 31, 2012 • Do NOT hand deliver

  9. How to Submit Your Proposal • Signatures • Yours & Building Principal on cover page • Grant should not have your name on it • Your name is on cover page only • Mail to: • Holdenville Education Foundation • PO Box 641 • Holdenville, OK 74848

  10. What Happens Then? • Grants Numbered • Cover page removed • Grant Committee • Members • All grants are reviewed individually & scored • Grants given out until money runs out • Award!

  11. What We Have Learned • We will write checks to pay for grant items if the source does not take purchase orders • We are giving more time to write grants. • We are adding help area to our website! • Giving away money is fun!
