Learning Objectives • Understand what Tate and Lyle and ADM do and how it effects the air quality in Decatur (ADM, 2010)(Tate and Lyle, 2010). • Learn the steps being taken by both to reduce emissions (ADM, 2009a,b). • Realize how the air quality in Decatur compares with other parts of the state. • Reconcile the positives of large factories and the negatives as they impact the environment.
