What is iMIS? iMIS is the very extensive database system in which FRA invested in order to bring membership management in-house. iMIS allows FRA staff to efficiently manage member records and allows one database to be used for magazine mailings, billing, direct mail communication, e-mail communication, fundraising and committee management, as a few examples. Members can access their records directly in iMIS through a portal in www.fra.org. Branch and Regional officers can access members’ records directly through the site as well, Secretaries can update the records. The following is a brief overview.

  3. Login to Your Record! Go to www.fra.org and enter your username and password – click “enter” key on keyboard or the arrows next to username. If you haven’t ever logged in: Username: Membership number (must have 9 digits – life members add 2 zeros)Password: first initial first name followed by last nameExample: Username: 009002452 (this is an example of a life member)Password: rwashington

  4. Go to MY FRA Go to “My FRA” (top navigation bar) and you will see your record. Click “Activities” to see your dues payments or track future donations Click “Edit” to make any changes to address, phone, e-mail, etc. Click “Security” to change your username and / or your password. NOTE: CHANGE USERNAME / PASSWORD ASAP!!!

Edit your Information Click “Edit” to make any changes to address, phone, e-mail, etc. When you click “Edit” you’ll be able to subscribe to NewsBytes, change your name, address, phone number, birth date, e-mail address... When you’re finished, click “submit.” The change is immediately made in iMIS.

  6. Security Change When you click “Security” to change your username and password, you will see your last name and member number in one line. You can keep this or change it. This is how the system distinguishes you from other people with your same last name. Changing your username and password is recommended for security purposes.

  7. More Info Click “More Info” to get to the link to your demographic information. Click that link toSubscribe to NewsBytes, add marital status, more in the future!

  8. Regional and Branch Officers When Regional or Branch Officers log into the site, the system allows them to see an additional page found on the left hand navigation “Area for Branch and Regional Officers”

  9. Regional and Branch Officers Clicking Advanced Search provides opportunities to look up members and, for Secretaries, make changes to records.

  10. Regional and Branch Officers Search by ID, e-mail address, status, join date, paid thru date… anything on the page. The items one can search on will be growing in coming weeks and months.

  11. Regional and Branch Officers To look for a list of people terminating at the end of a month, for instance, search by paid thru of 3 months prior but status still active.

  12. Regional and Branch Officers This will give you the list. Clicking a member’s name will give that person’s individual record, clicking the “Export” button will create a list in Excel.

  13. Regional and Branch Officers When exporting, you can choose what fields you want to include. Main address is the default, select other fields by clicking on them while holding the ctrl key (directions on the page) then hit “submit”

  14. Regional and Branch Officers Click on the link that says “MemberExport….” and it will open or save in Excel. NOTE: This only works if you have Excel on your computer. Otherwise, Member Services can send the export.

  15. Branch Secretaries Only! When you click on an individual’s record, you will see the option to edit…

  16. Branch Secretaries Only! Only the member and Branch Secretaries can edit a member’s information!
