PPST Test • Required for Education Majors • Reading, Writing and Math • 2 Choices: • Take test at UMD • Register online at: www.ets.org/praxis • Cost: $40 registration fee + $30/test • Take test at Sylvan Learning Center • Register by calling: 723-1551 • $135/$110/$85 • Scores and Test Information: • http://www.d.umn.edu/cehsp/studentaffairs/licensure/tests.html • Must take as soon as possible!

  4. What is my APAS? • The APAS report is a computerized summary of the progress you are making on your degree program. • The report lets you know how you are doing at fulfilling the Liberal Education and Composition requirements as well as the major and minor requirements.

  5. Why Do I Have To Use The APAS? • The APAS is the official graduation document. • Explains what classes are needed to fulfill requirements in order to obtain a degree. • Is an advising tool required for academic advising. • Used as part of the application process for admission to the teacher education program. • Used to check transfer credits.

  6. How do I access my APAS Report? • You have 3 options: • Through your Portfolio Account: • https://portfolio.umn.edu/portfolio/index.jsp • Through the “Register for Classes” page - just click on "View your APAS report:” • http://www.d.umn.edu/Register/ • Through the “Current Student” page, under “Records” choose "APAS Report:” • http://www.d.umn.edu/students/ • REMEMBER: You will need your internet id and password to access your APAS report.

  7. APAS Lingo • NO=Requirement Not Complete • OK=Requirement Complete • IP=Requirement fulfilled once in-progress courses are completed • R=Mandatory Requirements • >D=Duplicate course-only one counts Ex. Repeated a Course • RW=Requirement Waived
