  2. Division • Division is all about how many times one number will go into another • Step 1: Read the question – TWICE • Step2: There is a standard way to set out a division question. To demonstrate we will do 50 divided by 5 • Step 3: To start us off within the sum we need to do a simple multiplication of the 5 that will keep us below 50. In this example lets multiply the 5 by 5. We know this equals 25 • Step 4: So we have got to 25. To reach 50 we need to find another 25. So lets do another 5 multiplied by 5

Division • Step 5: By adding together the two 25s’s we can see that we have reached our target of 50 • Step 6: To get our final answer we need to add together the two amounts that we used to multiply earlier. In this case we did a times by 5 and another times by 5. • So the answer would be 10 which you pout at the top of the sum
