  4. Willie Lynch Letter: The Making of a Slave The William Lynch speech was nothing but an address that stated to be true by a certain William Lynch also known as Willie Lynch, to a gathering on the bank of the James River in Virginia in the year 1712 for controlling the slaves within the colony. The letter described exactly the same words as were used originally given by a slave owner, where he told other slave masters that he had discovered the “secret” to control the black slaves by setting them one against another. The document has been in print from the year 1970, but first gained widespread notice in the year 1990, when it was appeared online. From that time, it has sometimes been promoted as an authentic account of slavery during the 18th century. One important line was found in the letter. He had given an outline of action. He told that distrust is stronger than trust and envy is stronger than adulation, respect and/or admiration.
