  2. W.A.V.E.S.Web Accessible Visualization and Extraction System Discrete measurements- PHP, MySQL based application- first version in 2005, only GLODAP data- current version 3.0, released in February 2010,includes data from GLODAP, CARINA- 581, 833 measurements Underway measurements- PHP, MySQL based application- first version in 2006- current version 3.0, released in August 2010,includes last version of LDEO data collection- 4, 737, 324 measurements

  3. AmeriFlux Site and Data Exploration System • First version: spring 2009- primary site information- reported met/flux variables- links to ftp area with met/flux data sets • Search can be based on: • - site name • - site location (country, state, lat, lon, elevation) • - reported met/flux variables • vegetation type- PI • availability of a particular data product • instruments Returns site(s) list in form of link(s) to available data products on ftp area

  4. AmeriFlux Site and Data Exploration System Search can be based on: - site name - site location (country, state, lat, lon, elevation) - reported met/flux variables - vegetation type- reported biological variables • Second version: fall 2009, currently on the web- primary site information- reported met/flux variables- links to ftp area with met/flux data sets- PI- availability of a particular data product- instruments- reported biological variables- links to ftp area with biological data sets

  5. AmeriFlux Site and Data Exploration System Editing interfaces for the internal use

  6. AmeriFlux Site and Data Exploration System Search can be based on: - site name - site location (country, state, lat, lon, elevation) - reported met/flux variables - vegetation type- reported biological variables • Third version: out of development August 2009, currently in a testing phase- primary site information- reported met/flux variables- links to ftp area with met/flux data sets- reported biological variables- links to ftp area with biological data sets- new standardized naming convention for met/flux and bio variables - possibility to createand download customized multi-site datasets for L2- PI email notification

  7. AmeriFlux Site and Data Exploration System Captured for user statistics and sent to PI

  8. AmeriFlux Site and Data Exploration System

  9. AmeriFlux Site and Data Exploration System

  10. AmeriFlux Site and Data Exploration SystemNext tasks are: • Finish testing phase and move version 3 to production • Present itat2010 AGU conference in December 2010 andatannual AmeriFlux science meeting in January 2011 • Revise and consolidate additional site information (site history, terrain type, canopy height, type of tower, tower picture etc.) • Load L3 and L4 data • Add data visualization capabilities • Add metadata (Fc corrections, instruments calibration etc.) • New web-site migration
