  2. Request • Locate a Community Residential Home (CRH) for 1-6 persons within 1,000’ of existing licensed CRH for 1-6 persons

Florida Statutes & Land Development Code CRH defined: Dwelling unit licensed to clients of the Department of Children & Family Services (DCFS), which provides a living environment for unrelated residents who operate as the functional equivalent of a family, including such supervision and care by supportive staff as may be necessary to meet the physical, emotional, and social needs of the residents. Homes for 1-6 persons, deemed a single-family unit and a non-commercial, residential use for the purpose of local laws & ordinances and subject to: • Permitted in residential zoning districts without local government approval • Minimum 1,000’ between homes (local government authority may grant a waiver from requirement subject to requirements)
