- Given a table of data, find an equation of the line in the y=mx+b form.

Write original equation: y=mx+b

- Find the slope. Pick two points and plug them into .

- Plug the slope in for m into y=mx+b

- Check to see if x=0 is a point. If so, that y-value is the y intercept. Plug that number in for b.

- Of x=0 is NOT a point, then we must find b. Pick any point from the list and plug it in for x and y. Then solve for b.
- Plug b into final equation.
