  5. How Is The Fee Collected • Wisconsin State Statute 145.20 (4) Special Assessments for holding and septic tank pumping. A governmental unit may assess the owner of a private sewage system for costs related to the pumping of a septic or holding tank. The governmental unit shall make any assessment in the same manner that a city, village or town makes an assessment under s. 66.0703.

  9. Existing System Inspections • 11.21 EXISTING POWTS INSPECTIONS. (1) An existing system inspection is required for all property transfers and land divisions in which the property contains a structure served by a POWTS. A system regulated by the mandatory maintenance program specified in 11.073(5) at the time of division or transfer may be precluded from this section at the discretion of the Zoning Administrator. An existing system inspection is not required if a letter from the host municipality is submitted to the Zoning Office stating a date by which the structure is required to be connected to a sanitary sewer.
