  8. Riziki – “provision” • Microfinance programme for entrepreneurs in Kibera • Saving and loan scheme • Currently 46 entrepreneurs • Office just outside Kibera

Fusion Capital • SME fund with 262 clients borrowing £1500 - £35k • Clients pay 15% interest (less than any other source) • Commercial and profitable therefore sustainable • All those I spoke to said they could not get bank loans as they had no security • Most have emerged from microfinance though most micro business owners do not have the skills to make the transition

Inspire Review - GAFCON • GAFCON, 1000 church leaders including 300 Bishops, mainly from Africa • Kim Tan, Jerry Marshall, Andy Tanswell and Colin Timms made presentations. • Invitations from an Anglican Development organisation in Gombe, Nigeria; also from Kenya, Uganda and Rwanda. • Email Jerry if these areas interest you and sign up for an expo / business training to these areas.

Financial Summary • Undesignated known income = £53k membership income (incl Gift aid) + £7k conferences, ie £5k/mth • Total staff costs and expenses at current hours approx £3100/month, other expenses approx £1400/month • Seeking funding to increase core team for development and increased support, as well as for the seed fund and one off development costs. • Aim is to be self sufficient at a much higher level of activity with 400 members and over 200 projects in 2 years.

  36. Conclusion On the right path but much more we can do • to inspire others • to help members find where they can best engage • and provide personal and project support - in order to fulfill our vision to bring transformation to the world’s poor
