  1. Rocks and soil By Jake Turner

  2. We were asked to look at examples of rocks in use in the local environment. We chose Bradgate park! Rocks can be used for many different things like building a rock wall, building a rock house, mostly anything! There is a man made wall surrounding Bradgate park, it has been put together using all different shaped rocks. ( you can see a picture below ). There are also lots of piles of rocks in Bradgate park, these were probably buildings or walls from many years ago. We collected some rocks from Bradgate park, one of them I chipped the end away, the inside of the brick looks like lots of tiny rocks, mostly pink and grey.

  3. There are 3 different types of rocks. One type is made by squashing all different rocks together, that’s how layers are made. Another type is made up of lots of tiny particles, like grains of sand. The last type is when hot liquid is cooled down forming a rock, e.g lava

  4. Question time ? ? ? Given clues What is this rock called??? Its not a fossil Its got a worm shape on it Even I don’t know what its called
