  2. North East Town library is located in the town of North East, Duchess County, NY. North East Town is a small town with population 6,000 people that shares a border with the states of Massachusetts and Connecticut. The town library in North East is a focus of our research. The library is a home of 40,000 items, including books, multimedia and periodicals.

  3. North East Town Library serves 4,150 cardholders. The population is 74% white and 26% of different ethnicity. The patrons of the library come from various educational and cultural backgrounds, all income levels and have various information needs. The library holds staff consisting of 9 employees( 2 full time, 6 part time and 1 paraprofessional). Three volunteers are serving as pages.
