  3. http://www.greekforme.com/hazing.html • Hazing is something used to intimidate and make fun of others. Although many people look at it as part of a tradition or as a big joke, it is not acceptable behavior. Every year people die as a result of hazing.

Perhaps hazing is somehow part of that group process, in that it determines who is "fit" to join the group
