  3. A Noun is the name of a: • Person • Place • Animal or • Thing

  4. Can we count Nouns? YES we can count nouns but sometimes we CANNOT  We call nouns we can count: COUNTABLE NOUNS. We call nouns we cannot count UNCOUNTABLE NOUNS

  5. E.G of Countable Nouns • Eggs • Coconuts • Girls • Dishes Can You name some Countable Nouns?

  6. Words that we use with Countable Nouns • Many • A few • Some • A lot of We use these words in front of Plural Countable Nouns. For Singular Countable Nouns we use ‘a’ or ‘an’ In front of the Noun.

  7. E.G of Uncountable Nouns • Salt • Water • Paint • Sound Can You name some Uncountable Nouns?

  8. Words that we use with Uncountable Nouns • Much • A little • Some • Lots of We use these words in front of Plural Uncountable Nouns. For Singular Uncountable Nouns we Do NOT use ‘a’ or ‘an’ in front of the noun
