  1. Hadrian’s Wall • Hadrian’s Wall was built by the Romans roughly between England and Scotland. • It was begun in AD 122, nearly 2,000 years ago. • It was 73 miles long.

  2. Peace Lines • The “Peace Lines” in Belfast and other Northern Irish towns, separating Catholic and Protestant neighbourhoods • Built from 1969, there are now talks to bring down these barriers.

  3. Separation Barrier around the West Bank • There is a barrier around the West Bank where Palestinians live • Israel says that the barrier is needed for safety • Palestinians living nearby the wall say they have lost land, water access, healthcare, and work. • It is going to be 430miles long.
