  2. What is Capitol Punishment? • It is widely known as the “Death Penalty” • It is the judgment from the government whether someone will die or live. • Usually is the punishment for a homicide.

  3. Why is this an Injustice? • It violates the right to life. • In one case a man was accused of arson and killing two people, and was put to death. • He was later proven innocent.

  4. Where does the injustice Exist? Texas had the highest number of capitol punishment in 2011. Only Illinois and New Mexico have abolished Capitol punishment.

  5. Who does this occur to? • It is mainly for homicidal criminals as the Government’s version of “an eye for an eye” • In some cases it is put in affect for attempted murder and assault charges.

  6. How can this be stopped? • One of the only ways to help get rid of this is to make it public so people know about it. • Participate in whatever you can to let the government know that this is wrong. • Laws need to be changed in order to get rid of the death penalty.
