  2. COMMAND PRESENCE • DEFINITION: Presenting yourself as someone in authority, trusted and respected

  3. Message conveyed by how WE: • LOOK • CARRY OURSELVES • ACT • SPEAK

  4. LOOK • Dress the part -Remember, first impressions are a lasting one -Personal appearance is not something that starts when you walk into the field -At least look like you know what you are doing.

  5. CARRY OURSELVES • Body Language -How you carry yourself portrays Command presence or lack of it -Walk with your head up, eyes alert, and your expression intent • Walk with intent • You need to portray an  "I am in charge of this situation" image

  6. ACT -Non Verbally -Verbally -Personality

  7. SPEAK • More people than you think hear you speak - Everyone speaks the language of the body and can “feel” the tone of your voice

  8. After all… It all boils down to how you present yourself. Do you "look the part"? Do you carry yourself with confidence? Do you ACT the part? Do you speak the part? If you can, then you are developing Command Presence, which will make your job a LOT easier
