  3. Early life • -He was born in Pflugerville, Dutchess County, New York. • He worked for the New York Times as an editor and an author • -Went Georgetown University in Washington D.C.

  4. Later life • -Served in World War I as editor for the camp newspaper. • -After he married Louise Fox, he went on to make several short stories • - He won the O. Henry Memorial Award in 1924 for his short story “The Most Dangerous Game” • -Died in Beverly Hills, California of a heart attack on November 22, 1949 at age 56.

  5. 5 Most Evil People • Tomas de Torquenada– Tomas was born in Spain in 1420. He enjoyed torturing people some of the tortures names were foot roasting, garrucha, and suffocation. Pope Sixtus the 4th made him Grand Inquisitor. During his reign there were about 2,000 burnings at the stake. Torquenada’s hate for people that didn’t support Christianity resulted in Ferdidnand and Isabella shunning the Jews. • VladTepes– He was a prince known for impalement. He tortured thousands while he ate among the corpses. In the city of Amlas he impaled 20000 men and women. He often boiled, skinned blinded, strangled, burned, hacked, and roasted people. He also enjoyed cutting off the noises, ears, and sexual organs of his victims. Vlad also looked at the poor as being thieves. None of his victims survived. • Ivan the Terrible- This man was born August 25, 1530 in Kolomenskoye and was the prince of Moscow from 1533 to 1584. Ivan was fascinated by burning people in frying pans and impaling people. • Pol Pot- Was born in 1925 and was the Khmer political leader. His government forced the mass evacuations of cities, killed people, and left a legacy of disease and starvation. This resulted in at least one million deaths from labor, starvation, disease, torture, and execution. • Mao Tse-tung- was a man that killed an estimated 20 to 67 million people. His anarchy, terror, and paralysis disrupted the urban economy. The Revolution resulted in China’s cultural heritage and more destroyed. This periodwas a complete disaster

  6. The Hunted and Hunters • The hunters are people that track people down to kill. The hunted are the ones that will be killed. The hunters will track down people that need to be tracked down. The hunted will be running from the hunters.
