Overall Status Assessment A CBD National A Mobile Network Performance – Dropped Call Rates Week Ending: 23rd October 2011 Executive Summary • Sydney CBD broke 3G KPI due to major site faulty; all fixed in same day. • National 3G KPIs all met • National 2G KPIs worsen since last week due to end of school holiday Accountable Andrew Smith Voice Drop Call Rate Tail Performance Voice Drop Call Rate CBD Performance Voice Drop Call Rate National Performance • Trending Commentary • Sydney 3G KPI creep up due to two sites transmission outages caused 3000 drops in one day. Faults fixed. • Sydney 2G degraded due to negative impact from 3G faulty sites nearby • Combined National KPI sustained • Activities • Macros: 10 new sites completed. • 3G NSN: New baseline all completed. • NCELL audit started national wide. • 3G layering neighbour optimization expect complete early next week

Fixed now. • 2G Sydney CBD CSF degraded impacted by sudden loss of many • 3G mobile sites • Activities • Capacity Upgrades: 75 upgrades completed last week (includes BTS Swap, UMTS Carrier upgrades, CE upgrades and Transmission upgrades). • LAC Border redefinition ongoing to improve accessibility by removing un-necessary LAC updates.

Ongoing monitoring and rebalancing of PCU to reduce GPRS Blocking. Target Date for NSEI Balancing complete – 1st week of Nov.

SMB drops per Erlang is marginally better than the other CFUs.

  10. Overall Status Assessment A SLT Mobile Network Performance – ELT Performance Report Week Ending 16th October 2011 (1 week behind) Key Call Outs • Paul O’Sullivan dropped 2 calls. One entering the Lane Cove Tunnel and one in Darlinghurst. Performance on both cells is good. We noticed that POS appears to have his phone locked to 2G. All his calls for this period were on 2G. (There is a fault in the Lane Cove Tunnel which is under investigation.) • Rob Parcell also dropped 2 calls. Both on 11/10 in transit between OCS and the city during peak hour. Both drops were due to poor RF. Serving cells performance look okay. Accountable Andrew Smith 10
