  3. WLAP’s responsibilities in transition • SAME: • Most things as under the current existing FPC • Different: • Environmental values – single-ministry authorities rather than joint ministry decisions & authorities • Clarified WLAP’s role related to SDM

  4. Protection of Environmental Values • Same code regulations still apply • FDP • Largely same content requirements • Still approved by DM • No policy changes in transition • No major regulation changes related to environmental provisions • Some different mechanisms created to deal with site plans

  5. Summary • Business as usual except: • Some changes in responsibilities • Procedural changes to accommodate change to site plans from silviculture prescriptions
