  1. We will study the Story of Elisha: Elisha was a Master of Momentum.

  2. 11 As they were walking along and talking together, suddenly a chariot of fire and horses of fire appeared and separated the two of them, and Elijah went up to heaven in a whirlwind. 12 Elisha saw this and cried out, “My father! My father! The chariots and horsemen of Israel!” And Elisha saw him no more. Then he took hold of his garment and tore it in two. 13Elisha then picked up Elijah’s cloak that had fallen from him and went back and stood on the bank of the Jordan. 14He took the cloak that had fallen from Elijah and struck the water with it. “Where now is the LORD, the God of Elijah?” he asked. When he struck the water, it divided to the right and to the left, and he crossed over. 2 King 2:11-14

  3. You can’t create Today’s Momentum with yesterday’s Memory

  4. So the king of Israel and Jehoshaphat and the king of Edom went down to him. 13Elisha said to the king of Israel, “Why do you want to involve me? Go to the prophets of your father and the prophets of your mother.” 2 King 3: 12b-13 Warning: 1. Don’t Play God When You’ve Gotit • Momentum isn't necessarily a series of fortunate events, sometimes it begins with the loss of     something. ( it made us to say: I NEED YOU GOD)

  5. “No,” the king of Israel answered, “because it was the LORD who called us three kings together to deliver us into the hands of Moab.” 2 king 3: 13b Warning: 2. Don’t Blame God when You’ve Lost it • You'll never gain momentum by asking God, "why."  You can regain it by asking, "what.” • Because All momentum must come from the Spirit of God, if not, you'll end up in the wrong place.

  6. 14 Elisha said, “As surely as the LORD Almighty lives, whom I serve, if I did not have respect for the presence of Jehoshaphat king of Judah, I would not pay any attention to you. 15But now bring me a harpist. While the harpist was playing, the hand of the LORD came on Elisha.” 2 King 3: 14-15 Instruction: 3. Find the presence of God • Use Natural means to kick start Super Natural Momentum.

  7. Thus says the LORD: ‘Make this valley full of ditches.’17 For thus says the LORD: ‘You shall not see wind, nor shall you see rain; yet that valley shall be filled with water, so that you, your cattle, and your animals may drink.’ 18 And this is a simple matter in the sight of the LORD; He will also deliver the Moabites into your hand. 19 Also you shall attack every fortified city and every choice city, and shall cut down every good tree, and stop up every spring of water, and ruin every good piece of land with stones.” 20 Now it happened in the morning, when the grain offering was offered, that suddenly water came by way of Edom, and the land was filled with water.

  8. Thus says the LORD: ‘Make this valley full of ditches.’ 2 King 3:16 Instruction: 4. Dig Ditches in your valley • The Valley = The Low Place • If we do our part and what we can do, then God can do what only he can do. • You got to dig today for tomorrow's rain

  9. So I will restore to you the years that the swarming locust has eaten. Joel 2:25 • 21 Yet this I call to mind and therefore I have hope: 22Because of the LORD’s great love we are not consumed, for his compassions never fail. 23 They are new every morning; great is your faithfulness. Lamentations 3:21-23 • Don’t sit around and wait for the RAIN… • DIG DITCHES in EVERY AREA OF YOUR LIFE.
