  3. Criteria for selectingexistingtoolsor similar instruments • The toolshouldhavebeenevaluated. Thereshould be documentationproving the toolworks. • The toolshouldhavebeen demonstrated to be suitable for HIV Health Promotion and Prevention. It should be possible to integratekeyconcepts from the international response. • The toolshould be practical and possible to make user-friendly to ensuregood participation.

  4. Existing toolsadapted and applied • Succeed Straight forward, versatile questionnairewith a self-diagostic approach. Ambition levelscan be adapted. • QIP(Quality in Prevention) Comprehensive and extensive web-basedquestionnaire. Assessmentbased on definedscoring. Possibility for external scoring and writtenadvice. • PQD ( ParticipatoryQualityDevelopment) A toolboxofparticipatorymethodologiesto helpdevelopyour intervention.

  5. New toolsdeveloped and tested • PIQA (Peoplewhoinjectdrugs + Quality Assurance) Questionnaire and scoringcard for selfassessment and qualityassurance. Adapted to the challengesof prevention of Hiv and Hepatitis for PWID. • Shift(QI ProgrammeTool) Strategic approach to assessing and prioritising national and sub-national prevention programmes. Uses and feedsintoother data collection and analysisefforts (e.g. Dublin reporting).

  6. Tools consistof: • The toolitself; web-based or in interactiv, userfriendly PDF. Youcandownload and fill in and save/edit. • Extra print-out version for Succeed • Userguides for all tools • Scoring guide ( whenapplicable) • Background information • Case studies for Succeed and PQD • PPT for presentation or trainingpurposes Checklist for, and overviewof, eachtool General translationguidelines and a facilitation guide !
