  2. A résumé is a brief but detailed synopsis of your life. It includes: • heading • objective • education • work experience (if you have) • community service (think of how you earned service hours) • interests, hobbies, and talents, skills • references What is a Résumé?

  3. Why do we need a resume? It is your first tool for building a career It is the FIRST IMPRESSION a prospective employer has of you A selling tool that allows you to highlight to an employer how you can contribute to their company
