  2. 25 • Slip from • Tightened • Grip • Nodded • Keep cool • Slipping a blindfold • Slapped • Strip of adhesive tape • Nancy is taken by a mane in the movie theater. She can’t see anything because she has something over her eyes and she can’t talk because she has tape over her mouth.

  3. 26 • Captor • Yanking Nancy to her feet • Head down • Wedged herself into the space • Cozy back there • Gritty • Musty and old • Nancy is taken by the man into an alley and placed in a car. She sits between the front and the back seat on the floor. The car smells old and musty.

  4. 27 • Coughed • Rattled • Roated • Temple • Stalthily • Glimpse • Worn rubber mat • Nancy works part of the blindfold off and listens to her captors talk about how they are going to negotiate releasing Nancy for the source who told the reporter her information.

  5. 28 • Abducted • Allow herself to be used • Face up • Arched her spine • Stuff you in the trunk • Fabric • Shield • Loosened • Nancy wiggles free of the knots used to tie her wrists and she gets her blindfold off. She is waiting for a chance to escape…

  6. 29 • Inch by inch • Peek out • Now or never • Karate chop • Fumbling • Stunned him • Scrambling • Full weight • Slammed it on his fingers • Dashed around the corner • Nancy escapes from the car by giving the man a karate chop, opening the door and slamming it on the man’s fingers. She hails a cab. She gets in.

  7. 30 • Regain her composure • Dispatcher • CB • Cup yourself off • Afford • Nancy first tells the cab to take her back to the cinema, but then decides that if her captors are listening, they’ll know where she is going, so she changes her destination.

  8. 31 • Vicinity • Take a fare • Gold star cab company • weapon • Nancy gets out of the cab, pays attention to the name of the company and begins to suspect about the CB radio…
