  2. Web Modernization – AHIA Web Site The current web site is based on old technology and the design is in a need for a major refresh. This presentation provides an high level outline of the project, requirements and overall goals. The web modernization project will have two main phases: Phase 1 - New design, content structure, and new backend technology Phase II – New functionality and content in key areas

Phase 1 – Goals and Responsibilities • Modernize the website by providing a new look and a new technical backend to meet future requirements. • A consultant will design the new website utilizing the Content Management System Joomla. The Resource Center will populate existing information as applicable into the new website. A Steering Committee will approve (formal sign-off) the overall design and each Committee QA their content web pages. • A website governance policy/procedures will be established and content owners for each page will be defined.

Phase 1 Functional Requirements • New web image (colors, templates, images, etc) • Content management system Joomla • Add a news section on main page • Add text roll over; text is link to key items of interest (see examples word document) • Improve main page • News on the first page (plus tab) • New tabs/content structure • Manage Membership • Knowledge Resources, • Education Events, • AHIA Store • About AHIA • Improve Titling Nomenclature whole web site– Add consistency (see comments separate word document) • Changing pictures – on main page and potentially other pages

Phase 1: Non-Functional Requirements • Role based security, standard groups and flexibility to set up additional groups for each page. • Password requirements (8 characters, change on a regular basis, not the last 10) • Logging - access/changes with reports • Logging - usage with reports (visits) • Joomla – The website will be built on Joomla Content Management System • Consider phase 2 requirements in the design of phase1 • System documentation and user documentation to be established and provided as part of the project

Phase 2 • Extranet for each committee (File folder structure to store committee and board information) • Subject matter content areas • Active member profile – where members can update information, preferences etc. Similar to ISACA, IIA etc. • Regional AHIA areas • Improve knowledge Center – • Library • New Perspectives • Wikis – (futures)
