  1. Interagency FOC Update27 JAN 2010 0500 Hrs Key Points Food: MREs and security support to MINUSTAH for distribution. ( USAID SITREP #30 28 JAN 2010 0400 Hrs and 28 JAN conversation with USAID/OFDA and DOS Telcon 0800 27 JAN 2010)CONSIDERATION: 4 million MREs are in hubs and 2.7 million more due in Haiti tomorrow. PaP plan for 15 geographically-based and dispersed distribution sites moves forward and will be publicized 28 JAN. Distribution surge by WFP begins 29 JAN 2010. Sufficient dry rations are available for all 15 distribution sites. GoHprefers dry foods to MREs and WFP is accommodating. Support planning through phase II goes out feeding 2 million people for 60 days. Distributions ongoing as well as surge preparations. Health: Sanitation and hygiene continue to be of concern of Health Cluster. (USAID SITREP #30 28 JAN 2010 0400 Hrs ) CONSIDERATION: Primary health care, post-operative care for trauma patients, and prevention and treatment of diarrheal diseases re the current priority concerns of the health cluster. WASH: Water, Sanitation and Hygiene . (USAID SITREP #30 28 JAN 2010 0400 Hrs ) CONSIDERATION: Inadequate sanitation facilities at spontaneous settlements continue to be of significant concern. Disease prevention is easier than treatment. Key Points Search and Rescue (SAR): All U.S. SAR teams have departed Haiti. (DOS Telcon 0800 27 JAN 2010 ) CONSIDERATION: USACE continues to deconstruct Hotel Montana through contract support to recover service member. Other USPER may also be found in Hotel Montana. This effort has strategic communications, ethical and legal importance. Request for Military Support Spreadsheet received from USAID using the MITAM program: Spreadsheet allows tracking of support requests to the military. (OCHA SITREP #12) (USAID/OFDA Update 26 JAN 1900) CONSIDERATION: Useful for measures of effectiveness and trends and as a transition planning tool. 25 security missions are currently assigned to DOD by DART-Haiti USAID/OFDA.
