  1. Would you streak in front of Obama for $1 million? Lucky streak - Before Obama, nude man sprints • A man reportedly streaked in front of Obama as he addressed voters during a rally sponsored by the Democratic National Committee. • Photos of the man are making the rounds on the Internet, one with a "VOTE 2010" campaign sign covering his naked front; another with "Battlecam" and "Battle cam" written across his chest in black ink. • Billionaire Alki David, who offered in the summer to give $1 million to the first person to streak in front of Obama as long as "Battlecam" was written on the streaker’s chest, told the Weekly Standard he plans to pay up "when I see the video and it's confirmed." • It's unclear if Obama noticed the streaker, who is pictured here being escorted by police officers out of the event, which was held in a field outside an elementary school.

  2. Introduction to Congress Chapter 5, Section 1 Honors American Government

  3. Creating the Legislative Branch • One of the central questions at the drafting of the Constitution dealt with how representatives in the legislature would be given to each state… • Some believed in an equal number for each state • What types of states liked this idea? • Some felt that the more people a state had, the more representatives it should receive. • What types of states liked this idea? • And so the fate of the Constitution and the new nation hinged on this initial question…

  4. The Great Compromise – Thinking Win-Win And so, in order to compromise between both sides, it was decided that the legislative branch would have 2 separate houses • One house would have an equal number per state • One would have representation based on population This compromise became known as the “Great Compromise” because it solved one of the most important conflicts in the drafting of the Constitution…

  5. Our 2-house Congress – A “Win-Win”… • And so, our legislative branch, responsible for making laws, was divided into 2 houses to give both large and small states…
