  1. 03-04-12 PM.THE IMAGE OF GOD Exodus 24 9. Then went up Moses, and Aaron, Nadab, and Abihu, and seventy of the elders of Israel: 10. And they saw the God of Israel: and there was under his feet as it were a paved work of a sapphire stone, and as it were the body of heaven in his clearness. 11. And upon the nobles of the children of Israel he laid not his hand: also they saw God, and did eat and drink. WHAT DID THEY SEE?

  2. ANGELS Genesis 31 11. And the angel of God spake unto me in a dream, saying, Jacob: And I said, Here am I. 12. And he said, Lift up now thine eyes, and see, all the rams which leap upon the cattle are ringstraked, speckled, and grisled: for I have seen all that Laban doeth unto thee. 13. I am the God of Bethel, where thou anointedst the pillar, and where thou vowedst a vow unto me: Exodus 3 2. And the angel of the Lord appeared unto him in a flame of fire out of the midst of a bush: and he looked, and, behold, the bush burned with fire, and the bush was not consumed. 3. And Moses said, I will now turn aside, and see this great sight, why the bush is not burnt. 4. And when the Lord saw that he turned aside to see, God called unto him out of the midst of the bush, and said, Moses, Moses. And he said, Here am I. 5. And he said, Draw not nigh hither: put off thy shoes from off thy feet, for the place whereon thou standest is holy ground. 6. Moreover he said, I am the God of thy father, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob. And Moses hid his face; for he was afraid to look upon God.

  3. ANGELS Acts 7 30. And when forty years were expired, there appeared to him in the wilderness of mount Sina an angel of the Lord in a flame of fire in a bush. 31. When Moses saw it, he wondered at the sight: and as he drew near to behold it, the voice of the Lord came unto him, 32. Saying, I am the God of thy fathers, the God of Abraham, and the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob. Then Moses trembled, and durst not behold. 33. Then said the Lord to him, Put off thy shoes from thy feet: for the place where thou standest is holy ground. 34. I have seen, I have seen the affliction of my people which is in Egypt, and I have heard their groaning, and am come down to deliver them. And now come, I will send thee into Egypt. 35. This Moses whom they refused, saying, Who made thee a ruler and a judge? the same did God send to be a ruler and a deliverer by the hand of the angel which appeared to him in the bush. Acts 9 3. And as he journeyed, he came near Damascus: and suddenly there shined round about him a light from heaven: 4. And he fell to the earth, and heard a voice saying unto him, Saul, Saul, why persecutest thou me? 5. And he said, Who art thou, Lord? And the Lord said, I am Jesus whom thou persecutest: it is hard for thee to kick against the pricks. 6. And he trembling and astonished said, Lord, what wilt thou have me to do? And the Lord said unto him, Arise, and go into the city, and it shall be told thee what thou must do.

  4. ANGELS Genesis 32 24. And Jacob was left alone; and there wrestled a man with him until the breaking of the day. 25. And when he saw that he prevailed not against him, he touched the hollow of his thigh; and the hollow of Jacob's thigh was out of joint, as he wrestled with him. 26. And he said, Let me go, for the day breaketh. And he said, I will not let thee go, except thou bless me. 27. And he said unto him, What is thy name? And he said, Jacob. 28. And he said, Thy name shall be called no more Jacob, but Israel: for as a prince hast thou power with God and with men, and hast prevailed. 29. And Jacob asked him, and said, Tell me, I pray thee, thy name. And he said, Wherefore is it that thou dost ask after my name? And he blessed him there. Judges 13 17. And Manoah said unto the angel of the Lord, What is thy name, that when thy sayings come to pass we may do thee honour? 18. And the angel of the Lord said unto him, Why askest thou thus after my name, seeing it is secret? 19. So Manoah took a kid with a meat offering, and offered it upon a rock unto the Lord: and the angel did wondrously; and Manoah and his wife looked on. 20. For it came to pass, when the flame went up toward heaven from off the altar, that the angel of the Lord ascended in the flame of the altar. And Manoah and his wife looked on it, and fell on their faces to the ground. 21. But the angel of the Lord did no more appear to Manoah and to his wife. Then Manoah knew that he was an angel of the Lord. 22. And Manoah said unto his wife, We shall surely die, because we have seen God.

  5. THEOPHANY Manifestation of God that is tangible to the human senses. In its most restrictive sense, it is a visible appearance of God in the Old Testament period often, but not always, in human form. The mark of biblical theophanies is thetemporarinessand suddenness of the appearance of God, which is here not an enduring presence in a certain place or object. NOTE: the word THEOPHANY is not a word found in Scripture. It is a word used in theology to mean the appearance of God. It is from the Greek word THEOPHANEIA – THEO, meaning GOD, and PHANEIA, TO APPEAR. Each appearance of a theophany was a pre-figuration of Christ and each was temporary and localized.

  6. VISION Isaiah 6 1. In the year that king Uzziah died I saw also the Lord sitting upon a throne, high and lifted up, and his train filled the temple. 2. Above it stood the seraphims: each one had six wings; with twain he covered his face, and with twain he covered his feet, and with twain he did fly. 3. And one cried unto another, and said, Holy, holy, holy, is the Lord of hosts: the whole earth is full of his glory. 4. And the posts of the door moved at the voice of him that cried, and the house was filled with smoke. 5. Then said I, Woe is me! for I am undone; because I am a man of unclean lips, and I dwell in the midst of a people of unclean lips: for mine eyes have seen the King, the Lord of hosts. Genesis 28 10. And Jacob went out from Beersheba, and went toward Haran. 11. And he lighted upon a certain place, and tarried there all night, because the sun was set; and he took of the stones of that place, and put them for his pillows, and lay down in that place to sleep. 12. And he dreamed, and behold a ladder set up on the earth, and the top of it reached to heaven: and behold the angels of God ascending and descending on it. 13. And, behold, the Lord stood above it, and said, I am the Lord God of Abraham thy father, and the God of Isaac: the land whereon thou liest, to thee will I give it, and to thy seed;

  7. THEOPHANY Genesis 18 1. And the Lord appeared unto him in the plains of Mamre: and he sat in the tent door in the heat of the day; 2. And he lift up his eyes and looked, and, lo, three men stood by him: and when he saw them, he ran to meet them from the tent door, and bowed himself toward the ground, 3. And said, My Lord, if now I have found favour in thy sight, pass not away, I pray thee, from thy servant: 20. And the Lord said, Because the cry of Sodom and Gomorrah is great, and because their sin is very grievous; 21. I will go down now, and see whether they have done altogether according to the cry of it, which is come unto me; and if not, I will know. 22. And the men turned their faces from thence, and went toward Sodom: but Abraham stood yet before the Lord. Hebrews 7 1. For this Melchisedec, king of Salem, priest of the most high God, who met Abraham returning from the slaughter of the kings, and blessed him; 2. To whom also Abraham gave a tenth part of all; first being by interpretation King of righteousness, and after that also King of Salem, which is, King of peace; 3. Without father, without mother, without descent, having neither beginning of days, nor end of life; but made like unto the Son of God; abideth a priest continually.

  8. HEBREWS.CHAPTER.ONE_ JEFF.IN 57-0821 Now, and here, this great Theophany standing there. What? That great Jehovah God, you know what He said? He just reached over and got a handful of atoms, got a little light, and poured it in him like this, went, "Whew," a body, and just stepped right into it. That's all. Said, "Come here, Gabriel," that great Archangel. Went, "Whew." "Step in that." "Come here, Michael," the Angel at His right side. "Whew." For the... "You step in that." God, and two Angels, walked down here in human flesh, and drank the milk from a cow, eat the butter out of the milk, and eat some corn bread, and eat the flesh of the calf. Two Angels and God. The Bible said so. CONFERENCE_ SHREVEPORT.LA 60-1125 Now, we all know beyond any mistake that that was not an Angel. It was God Himself. It was the theophany. God... Abraham called Him Elohim, God. And He stayed back and talked to Abraham. CONFERENCE_ SHREVEPORT.LA FRIDAY_ 60-1125 Great powers of God. That great Jehovah standing there in this theophany, eating flesh, drinking milk, corn bread, and--and butter. And then He said, "Abraham where is your wife, Sarah?“ HEBREWS.CHAPTER.ONE_ JEFF.IN 57-0821 And this King didn't have no father, had no mother, had no beginning of days or ending of Life. Who did Abraham meet? Now think. He didn't have no father; He didn't have no mother. He never had a time that He began, and He never has a time when He will end, so that same King of Salem has to be living today. Amen. You see it? It was that theophany that was that Son of God. Who is this strange Fellow? You know what happened? He walked right out there and vanished. And the Bible said that That was Almighty God, Jehovah, that great Fountain, that Theophany, that Logos.

  9. JEHOVAH.JIREH_ EDMONTON.AB. SATURDAY_ 57-0810 Walked down, He said, "I'm going down to talk to Abraham, He might not understand Me. If I go as a man, he will know it." That was nothing but the pre-figure of the Lord Jesus Christ. That's the Melchisedec and so forth. It was a theophany to begin with, and then It become flesh. THE.ENTOMBMENT_ JEFF.IN 57-0420 For we know that in Him dwelt the Fullness of the Godhead Body. The entire Godhead was in Him. He was both Father, Son, and Holy Ghost, but dwelt in a human form; the theophany of God, the great image of God that He made man in, then placed him in the earth... He had a body. God isn't without a body. God's got a body, and it looks like a man. Moses saw it; others saw it, and it looks like a man. WE.WOULD.SEE.JESUS_ SASKATOON.SK 57-0516 In the beginning God was a Spirit. And all the fountain of goodness and mercy and power, and all the good things of love, God was the center of that fountain. And then the Logos that went out of God in the beginning become what we would call a theophany, or a supernatural body. God is just not like the air, but He's in a body. HEBREWS.CHAPTER.FOUR_ JEFF.IN 57-0901 Was God a man? Certainly. "Let us make man in our own image." What was God? A theophany, a body. And there man was made like that and put over the garden. WHO ARE WE TO QUESTION???

  10. WHO ARE WE TO QUESTION??? Numbers 12: 1. And Miriam and Aaron spake against Moses because of the Ethiopian woman whom he had married: for he had married an Ethiopian woman. 2. And they said, Hath the Lord indeed spoken only by Moses? hath he not spoken also by us? And the Lord heard it. 6. And he said, Hear now my words: If there be a prophet among you, I the Lord will make myself known unto him in a vision, and will speak unto him in a dream. 7. My servant Moses is not so, who is faithful in all mine house. 8. With him will I speak mouth to mouth, even apparently, and not in dark speeches; and the similitude of the Lord shall he behold: wherefore then were ye not afraid to speak against my servant Moses? 9. And the anger of the Lord was kindled against them; and he departed. John 5: 38. And ye have not his word abiding in you: for whom he hath sent, him ye believe not. 39. Search the scriptures; for in them ye think ye have eternal life: and they are they which testify of me. Acts 17: 10. And the brethren immediately sent away Paul and Silas by night unto Berea: who coming thither went into the synagogue of the Jews. 11. These were more noble than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness of mind, and searched the scriptures daily, whether those things were so. Romans 1: 22. Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools, 23. And changed the glory of the uncorruptible God into an image made like to corruptible man, and to - birds, and fourfooted beasts, and creeping things.

  11. HEBREWS.CHAPTER.SIX.3_ JEFF.IN HEB SUNDAY_ 57-0915M . And as soon as He had blessed Abraham, He went back into space again. A man that stood there and had dust on His clothes, a man. And not only that, but He eat the flesh of a calf that Abraham killed, and drinking the milk from the cow, and eat some hoe cakes (some corn bread), and had butter on it. That's exactly right. And then turned back to a theophany again. MARY'S.BELIEF_ BEAUMONT.TX 61-0121 But we notice, that the One that stayed behind to the elected church, He showed a sign. And it was God doing that. it was not a myth, it was not a theophany. A theophany don't eat. He eat the flesh of a calf, and eat some hoecake, corn bread, and some butter on it, and drink the milk from the cow. A theophany doesn't eat and drink: it was God made manifest in flesh. EL.SHADDAI_ LA.CA THURSDAY_ 59-0416 I know a many of the writers try to say that was a theophany, so forth like that. But that wasn't so. He was eating meat, and drinking milk, and eating corn bread. That's right. He was absolutely a Man, setting in human flesh. Someone said to me not long ago, said, "Billy, you don't mean to tell me you believe That was a man." I said, "Absolutely. It was God in flesh." ************************************************************************************************************** QUESTIONS.AND.ANSWERS.ON.HEBREWS.2_ JEFF.IN 57-1002 Now, notice, we find out that, Who was Melchisedec but God Himself. It couldn't have been no one else, for He was the King of Salem which is Jerusalem. He had no father nor mother; couldn't been Jesus, 'cause He had father and mother. He had no beginning of days, no ending of Life; there's only One that has that; that's God. It was God dwelling here in a Theophany. See?

  12. THEOPHANY Manifestation of GOD Visible appearance of God. Greek word THEOPHANEIA – THEO = GOD, and PHANEIA =TO APPEAR. HEBREWS.CHAPTER.SIX.3_ JEFF.IN HEB SUNDAY_ 57-0915M Now, when we go from here, there's a tabernacle, a theophany, just an image of a man, that don't eat, don't drink, don't sleep, awake forever. There is where we go to. THIRSTING.FOR.LIFE_ CHICAGO.IL 57-0630 It's a body that doesn't have a spirit in it. It's a body that's waiting for you Christians. As soon as the life leaves this, you go into that body. When this earthly tabernacle be dissolved, we have one already waiting, a theophany. LIFE_ JEFF.IN SUNDAY_ 57-0602 If this earthly tabernacle is dissolved, we have a theophany to go into, a body celestial. Then at the coming of the Lord Jesus, this body is picked from the earth again and made in a glorified state to live in His Presence forever. QUESTIONS.AND.ANSWERS.ON.HEBREWS.3_ JEFF.IN 57-1006 In the beginning we were in the image of God. The veil and the darkness keeps us from knowing it now. But Jesus told His disciples He was with them before the foundation of the world. See? We were. You can't know it now, but you was in the beginning. And if this earthly tabernacle be dissolved, we have one already waiting. Hallelujah. And then we move into this theophany, what we once lived,so we can eat and shake hands.

  13. THEOPHANY Manifestation of GOD Visible appearance of God. Greek word THEOPHANEIA – THEO = GOD, and PHANEIA =TO APPEAR. LIFE_ JEFF.IN SUNDAY_ 57-0602 E-23 Then that theophany was made flesh in the Person Christ Jesus. And then all the fullness of the Trinity dwelt in Him, both Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, all in that. THE.ENTOMBMENT_ JEFF.IN 57-0420 Here He goes. Where did He leave when He left? The Bible said, "He ascended. He went and preached to the souls that were in prison, that repented not in the long-suffering of the days of Noah." His soul, His Spirit, His Theophany of His Own Being, went down. QUESTIONS.AND.ANSWERS.ON.HEBREWS.2_ JEFF.IN COD WEDNESDAY_ 57-1002 Here His body was in the grave, and his soul was in hell, preaching, alive. What about that? He was in His Theophany AGAIN. His soul was down there with those people that were in...?... theophany also, and was witnessing to them that they repented not in the long-suffering. THE.ENTOMBMENT_ JEFF.IN 57-0420 Our own life is just a pattern. It's just a shadow, and not the real thing. It's the negative side. It takes death to develop the picture, to put us back in the theophany we come from. Then in the resurrection we come in His likeness, a resurrected body.

  14. THEOPHANY Manifestation of GOD Visible appearance of God. Greek word THEOPHANEIA – THEO = GOD, and PHANEIA =TO APPEAR. WHO.IS.THIS.MELCHISEDEC_ JEFF.IN 65-0221E Then, after you recognized the very Word of God was Eagle Food, then you left the other thing. You have then been formed into the living image of the living God. You heard from your theophany. "If this earthly body be dissolved, we have one waiting." When you recognise the word for your day by a true revelation you have actually heard from your theophany, it is trying to unite with you as positive and negative attract each other. The revelation of the word in this hour will climax in a body change to us which are alive and remain as full access to this theophany dimension has been made available by way of the end time truth.

  15. 1: WHAT WAS BRO. BRANHAM LOOKING AT? 2: WHAT DO THE SCRIPTURES TEACH? WHO.IS.THIS.MELCHISEDEC 65-0221E A theophany is something that you could not see. It could be right here now, yet you cannot see it. THE.REJECTED.KING_ JEFF.IN 60-0515M I've always wearied. I've always thought of dying that me, being fifty, didn't think was too long. And I wondered what I would be in this theophany, celestial body. Would it be that I'd see my precious friends and say a little white fog going by and say, "There goes Brother Neville," or he couldn't say, "Hello, Brother Branham." And when Jesus come, then I'd be man again. I often thought that. WHO.IS.THIS.MELCHISEDEC_ JEFF.IN 65-0221E Before I close this subject, I know there is a question in your minds. You will want to know if I believe in the doctrine of preexistence. I don't believe in that Mormon doctrine of the preexistence of souls any more than I believe in reincarnation or the transmigration of souls. Be careful here and see this. It is not the person that comes predestinated eternally from God, IT IS THE WORD, OR SEED. That is it. Way back there, too far back for the human mind to grasp, the Eternal God with eternal thoughts, thought and decreed, KEY: BEYOND THE CURTAIN OF TIME!!!

  16. Philippians 1 23. For I am in a strait betwixt two, having a desire to depart, and to be with Christ; which is far better: 24. Nevertheless to abide in the flesh is more needful for you. 2 Corinthians 5 1. For we know that if our earthly house of this tabernacle were dissolved, we have a building of God, an house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens. 2. For in this we groan, earnestly desiring to be clothed upon with our house which is from heaven: 3. If so be that being clothed we shall not be found naked. 4. For we that are in this tabernacle do groan, being burdened: not for that we would be unclothed, but clothed upon, that mortality might be swallowed up of life. WHO.IS.THIS.MELCHISEDEC_ JEFF.IN V-5 N-10 SUNDAY_ 65-0221E And, then, when this robe of flesh is dropped, there is a natural body, theophany, a body not made with hands, neither born of a woman, that we go to. Then that body returns back and picks up the glorified body. THE.ENTOMBMENT_ JEFF.IN ER 55-72 SATURDAY_ 57-0420 Here He goes. Where did He leave when He left? The Bible said, "He ascended. He went and preached to the souls that were in prison, that repented not in the long-suffering of the days of Noah." His soul, His Spirit, His Theophany of His Own Being, went down.
