Day 5 & 6: Urenui and Kiore Formations The purpose of this study is to provide a detailed documentation of the outcropping Urenui and Kiore formations and interpret influences on channel formation and fill. The majority of Urenui Formation outcrops are bioturbated siltstone with tubular concretions Modified from King et al. (1993)

  12. Urenui – Mount Messenger Contact The MMF and UF have been interpreted as a continuous sequence, but a large erosional contact exists in the coastal section. This erosional contact may correspond to the large MTD interval in the offshore seismic data.
