SPEAKER INVOCATION Jacksonville Kiwanis are teaming up to fund a 3-day field trip for Sri Lanka children who survived the 2004 tsunami that devastated coastal areas of Sri Lanka. Deerwood Kiwanis Club members have pledged $200 and are challenging other local Kiwanis Clubs and individuals to step up to the plate and pledge so these unfortunate children in Sri Lanka can broaden their vision of the world around them. Kiwanis and other clubs interested in joining in this international service project are invited to contact Deerwood Kiwanis Club President Paul Halter at (904) 349-1200 or call Patrick Harrigan at (904) 403-9523. Help us to avoid daily temptations. And remind us when we flee temptation not to leave a forwarding address. Help us to develop the strength of character we need to live good lives and be true examples to our – and all – children. And now bless this food to our use and us to Your service.
