Who is ENEFEN? • Small engineering consulting company • 2 mechanical + 1 electrical engineers • Registered in Alberta, BC, and Saskatchewan • Offices in Leduc AB, Delta BC • 29 years in combustion and BMS business • Experienced in design and commissioning • Member od CSA Standards, B149.1 and B149.3 • Working for major oil and gas companies

  3. What do we do? • Compliance evaluations • Energy efficiency evaluations • Design / re-design of existing equipment • Troubleshooting of combustion systems • Standards development (clients and national) • Publications • Education • FIELD APPROVALS OF GAS FIRED EQUIPMENT

Why Field Approvals? • Because EVERY province in Canada has safety legislation • Because EVERY legislation requires some sort of APPROVAL • Because there are penalties for non-compliance • Because provincial governments can shut the operation down for non-compliance • Because there is a liability in case of an accident
