Evaluation Rationale • Monitor and report on initial implementation; • Identify key processes and information requirements for effective coordination; • Identify key strategies that enable expansion of quality workplace learning opportunities; • Identify key principles and strategies important in facilitating workplace learning placements for Koorie students • Identify mechanisms for sharing good practice; • Evaluate WLC reporting framework to ensure appropriate information and processes for providers.

Formative Evaluation Approach • Emphasis on data collection that will facilitate decision making for Workplace Learning Coordinators during formative stage: • Factors increasing workplace learning opportunities; • Arrangements that enhance opportunities for Koorie students; • Strategies increasing alignment between workplace learning opportunities, local industry and VET provision; • Effective operation of reporting framework; • Strategies for increasing opportunities for workplace learning.

  5. Methods • Preliminary analysis of Service Plans • Phone interviews with each WLC • Face-to-face interviews and focus groups • Development of Case Studies • 360 degree satisfaction survey

  6. Final Report • Barriers, issues and effective strategies influencing implementation of WLC program; • Data sources and instruments that provide appropriate information that contribute to WLC reporting framework; • Effective mechanisms for sharing good practice; • Strategies that may enhance further implementation of WLC program
