Plants Department Wastewater Treatment Plant Water Plant Treatment Collection Distribution Treatment • Maintain Reservoir 1 pump • Annual inspection of all reservoirs • Clean reservoirs with assistance from Public Works personnel • Maintain buildings at reservoirs (paint, lights, etc.) • Maintain plant pumps • Maintain booster station at Ginsing Street used to increase water pressure • Annual maintenance on Pressure Regulating Valves (PRV), typically contracted out • Monitor for chlorine residuals • Sample collection & delivery to lab • Monitor & maintain freeze protection at reservoirs • Check lift station operation by 2x weekly visits • Maintain hosing clarifiers • Maintain lift stations • Verify operation of lift station & components • Clean wetwell & lift stations • Maintain submersible pumps • Perform routine maintenance on all major equipment • Rake screen bars • Monitor sludge pumps • Monitor WWTP operations (via computer system) • Hose down various plant areas • Collect and perform tests on a variety of water samples • Prepare logs • Send samples &/or reports of sample results to State agency • Mix/dilute chlorine & de-chlorination agent • Replace reagents in chlorine analyzer • Maintain trash pumps • Water removal from Lagoon (weather & farmer dependent) with assistance from PW personnel • Collect river water • Jar test for turbidity changes & adjust chemicals at feed pumps • Monitor turbidimeters (via computer system) • Monitor quality of water output • Backwash filters • Replace reagents in chlorine analyzer • Recalibrate turbidimeters • Test & verify pump outputs • Mix chemicals • Perform chemical & other pump maintenance • Perform valve maintenance • Perform chlorine analyzer maintenance • Remove & clean plate settlers annually • Replace mixer wear plate • Replace filter media Associated Council Advisory Groups Planning Commission Infrastructure Committee
