RTI Models • In Class model • Groups are small • Transition time minimal, supplies available • Integrated within the classroom Group A: Seat, Game Group B: Teacher, Game Group C: Game, Teacher • Grade level model • Leveled groups • Direct/Whole group Instruction • Prep can be shared • Take advantage of teacher skills and talents. Group A: Reteach Group B: Practice Group C: Enrich

  6. Review (#3) • Division: Explicit, Systematic, Models, Cumulative Review Dividing a whole number by a unit fraction

  7. Guided Practice (#3, #4, #5) • Division Game • Verbalization, guided practice, and word problems, visual models. • Roll the dice to create a whole number and a unit fraction. • Represent the division on a number line. • Create a situation to match the division.

Adaptations • Tier One: Grade level • Tier Two: Reteach, guided practice, small group, (use number cards with 1, 2, 3, 4 if needed or adapted dice) • Tier Three Below Grade Level: Begin with a context, use adapted dice. • Tier Three Above Grade level: Write the multiplication equivalency, write a division context as well as a multiplicative context.
