EATING TRENDS • Despite the slow economy, Americans continue to dine out and are spending less time in the kitchen preparing meals than ever before. • Half of all home meals are prepared in less than 30 minutes. • Nearly half of all main meals are one-dish affairs. • Desserts are disappearing from in-home meals.
