  3. Plural nouns • Add s to form the plural of most nouns • Example: • Girl = Girls

  4. Plural Nouns • Add es to nouns that end in: • Ch • Sh • S • X • Z • Example: • Church = Churches

  5. Plural Nouns • For nouns that end with a consonant before the y, change the y to an iand add –es • Example: • Puppy = Puppies

  6. Plural Nouns • For nouns that end with a vowel before the y, just add s • Example: • Toy = Toys

  7. Plural Nouns • Add s to nouns that end with a vowel before an o • Example: • Rodeo = Rodeos

  8. Plural Nouns • Add an es to nouns that end with a consonant before an o • Example: • Hero = Heroes

  9. Plural Nouns • For nouns that end in f or fe, change the ending to ve and add an s • Example: • Leaf = Leaves

  10. Plural Nouns • For some nouns, use the same singular and plural forms • Examples: • Deer = Deer • Moose = moose

  11. Plural Nouns • For some nouns, change the spelling to the spelling of a plural noun • Examples: • Man = Men • Tooth = Teeth • Foot = Feet
