  1. Dandruff: The Treatments that Work Let’s start by pointing out that dandruff is a problem faced by millions of people throughout the entire world. It’s something rather unpleasant and embarrassing due to itching and flaking. Should you stress out about it? Absolutely not- we will review the causes of dandruff so you have a better understanding of the condition. So what’s causing it? How to get rid of it? Let’s find out. 1.Dry Scalp The number one reason for dandruff is a dry scalp. The dry scalp will also likely cause scaly flakes. Luckily for you, this is one of the things that you can take care of relatively easy. Go to the local drugstore and get a medicated dandruff shampoo. You should look for a solution which contains ingredients such as selenium sulfide, salicylic acid, zincpyrithione, or ketoconazole. These are all ingredients which will help improve your scalp and reduce the amount of fine flaking. 2.SeborrheicDermatitis This is something which is going to cause quite a lot of issues, dandruff being amongst them. If you have an oily scalp, this could lead to the condition. Seborrheic Dermatitis is actually the name of an eczema which is going to affect your scalp. This is an issue which results from certain inflammations which take place at oily areas. This is going to cause scaly and yellowish patches to start forming on your scalp, eventually flaking off and causing dandruff. If you want to get rid of it, you should keep your hair clean with rather frequent shampooing. The best thing to do is to use specifically designated medicated shampoos created for seborrheic dermatitis or psoriasis. 3.Get a proper Diagnosis

  2. All of the above might be the cause of a dry, flaking, scaly, and itchy scalp. Hopefully, the above advice will help with your condition and select the appropriate productson the scalp. Sometimes, over the counter medicated shampoos are not enough to control the condition. At this point, you may wish to consider consultation with a physician. This becomes necessary if you have a medical condition such as psoriasis or eczema. In rare cases, only a dermatologist will be able to uncover the proper cause of your dandruff problems. Seeking their advice will ensure that you are prescribed a plan of action to take in order to control your skin problem.
