  4. Cannot Separate Father/Son • If one doesn’t believe in the Son, God’s wrath is upon him. • “He who believes in the Son has everlasting life; and he who does not believe the Son shall not see life, but the wrath of God abides on him.” {John 3:36}

  5. Cannot Separate Father/Son • Those who do not believe in the Son will die in their sins. • “Therefore I said to you that you will die in your sins; for if you do not believe that I am He, you will die in your sins.”{John 8:24}

  6. Cannot Separate Father/Son • We must believe in the Son; He is our only access to the Father. • “Jesus said to him, ‘I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.’” {John 14:6}

  7. Cannot Separate Father/Son • Only one name ever given for salvation—that given by the Father to the Son. • “Nor is there salvation in any other, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved.”{Acts 4:12}

  8. What About John 14:28? • Some think that they have found a hole in the equal argument: • “You have heard Me say to you, 'I am going away and coming back to you.' If you loved Me, you would rejoice because I said, 'I am going to the Father,' for My Father is greater than I.” {John 14:28}

  9. Can We Understand… • The President and I are one. • Is this a correct statement? • “And He has made from one blood every nation of men to dwell on all the face of the earth, and has determined their preappointed times and the boundaries of their dwellings.” {Acts 17:26}

  10. Can We Understand… • The president and I are equal. • Is this statement correct? • “And if you call on the Father, who without partiality judges according to each one's work, conduct yourselves throughout the time of your stay here in fear.” {1 Peter 1:17}

  11. Can We Understand… • Husband and wife are one. • Is this statement correct? • “So then, they are no longer two butone flesh.Therefore what God has joined together, let not man separate.”{Matthew 19:6}

  12. Can We Understand… • Husband and wife are equal. • Is this statement correct? • “There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free, there is neithermale nor female;for you are all one in Christ Jesus.” {Galatians 3:28}

  13. Can We Understand… • The husband is head of the wife. • Is this statement correct? • “For the husband ishead of the wife,as also Christ is head of the church; and He is the Savior of the body.” {Ephesians 5:23}

  14. Can We Understand… • Paul and Apollos were one. • Is this statement correct? • “Now he who plants and he who waters are one, and each one will receive his own reward according to his own labor.”{1 Corinthians 3:8}

  15. Can We Understand… • Paul and Apollos were equal. • Is this statement correct? • “There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free, there is neither male nor female; for you areall onein Christ Jesus.” {Galatians 3:28}

  16. Can We Understand… • Paul was greater than Apollos. • Is this statement correct? • “For I consider that I am not at all inferior to the most eminentapostles.”{2 Corinthians 11:5}

  17. Line of Authority… • Even in the spiritual sense, there is a line of authority. • Is this statement correct? • “But I want you to know that the head of every man is Christ, the head of woman is man, and the head of Christ is God.” {1 Corinthians 11:3}

  18. Father and Son Equal in: • Action • “But Jesus answered them, ‘My Father has been working until now, and I have been working. Therefore the Jews sought all the more to kill Him, because He not only broke the Sabbath, but also said that God was His Father, making Himself equal with God.
